THE EXPOSURE

THE SITE IS EVACUATED. THE ASSET STAYS BEHIND.

Everything the business stands on remains at the interface after the last vehicle leaves. What protects it that night was decided long before.

THE RESPONSE

PROTECTION THAT DOES NOT LEAVE WITH THE STAFF.

Engineered roof saturation across the campus, activated from anywhere, running on its own water and its own power.

Before vs after the loss

INSURANCE RESPONDS TO A LOSS. RESILIENCE IS BUILT BEFORE ONE.

Insurance remains a critical part of managing a commercial property's financial exposure. Coverage differs by policy. Triggers differ. Limits differ. Indemnity periods differ.

The effects of wildfire can also include access, utility, smoke and customer-demand impacts that do not fit neatly into a simple “building destroyed / building rebuilt” narrative.

Prodigy's role is physical mitigation: permanent exterior wildfire protection infrastructure designed to reduce localized structure ignition risk and improve the resilience of selected physical assets. Insurance responds according to the policy when an insured loss occurs. Physical mitigation is installed before the ember arrives.

The two strategies can coexist. They do different jobs.

THE EVIDENCE
40%
of small businesses never reopen after a major disaster. When the building itself is gone, the share that never reopens climbs higher again, and a commercial rebuild is a two to three year road, not a season.
Across wildfire-exposed regions, insurers are re-underwriting, restricting or withdrawing commercial coverage, making demonstrated physical mitigation part of the insurability conversation itself.

The engineered answer

ENGINEERED AROUND THE SITE. PERMANENTLY IN PLACE.

Prodigy designs exterior wildfire structure protection around the individual commercial property, its buildings, roofs, water, power, terrain and operating priorities.

Selected roof and exterior exposure areas are divided into engineered protection zones. Permanent sprinkler infrastructure is installed using roof-specific mounting and routing methods. Water delivery is engineered around the hydraulic requirements of the protection strategy, and critical assets can be prioritized in the site design.

The protection infrastructure is already part of the property before conditions change.

Command from anywhere

WHEN CONDITIONS CHANGE, THE PROPERTY CAN RESPOND.

A protection system is only worth owning if it works on the worst day, including the day the site is cleared and nobody is left to turn a valve.

Configured Prodigy systems can be run from anywhere: remotely from a phone, locally at the panel, or automatically where the design specifies it. Wetting arrives in engineered cycles, protected surfaces stay wet while water is spent deliberately, not dumped.

The system behind the heads

THE SPRINKLERS ARE ONLY AS STRONG AS THE SYSTEM BEHIND THEM.

Exterior protection is a hydraulic and electrical system, not a set of heads on a roof.

Prodigy assesses the available water and power environment as part of every commercial design. Where required, dedicated storage, approved site water sources, pumping and pressure management, filtration and backup power form part of the engineered architecture.

The configuration must match the property, source availability, water quality, permitting and hydraulic performance are assessed for the individual site.

Four chairs, one answer

THE SAME WILDFIRE. FOUR DIFFERENT BUSINESS QUESTIONS.

Wildfire exposure reads differently from every chair in the organization. A credible resilience strategy has to answer all four at once.

ROLE
THE QUESTION + CONCERN
THE PRODIGY RESPONSE
01
GENERAL MANAGER
"Can we keep operating through fire season?"
Guest and customer commitments, staffing continuity, the operating calendar and the property’s public confidence during a regional fire event.
Yes, with a system already installed before the season opens. Your roofs, walls and decks can be put under a humidity bubble in minutes, from a phone, without pulling staff onto a roof. You keep trading on your own plan instead of waiting on a shared water tender that may be three valleys away.
02
OWNER / ASSET MANAGER
"What is the real exposure of this asset?"
Capital value, insurability trajectory, revenue dependency on physical structures and the cost of extended interruption, not only rebuild cost.
We quantify it building by building. You receive an engineered assessment showing which structures carry the operation, where they ignite first, and what protecting them costs against the two to three year rebuild road behind a total loss. It is a one time capital item you can put in front of a board and an underwriter.
03
PROPERTY MANAGER
"What happens when the site is under alert?"
Access restrictions, tenant and occupant communication, site readiness and who can act when the property must be cleared.
People leave, protection stays. The system runs remotely from anywhere with signal, locally at the panel before you go, or automatically where the design specifies it. Named people hold the controls, so there is never a question of who is driving back through a roadblock to turn a valve.
04
FACILITIES MANAGER
"Can this actually be maintained?"
Water supply, pump and power reality, winterization, testing cadence and how a protection system fits the existing plant.
It is built around the plant you already run. We size to your real water and power, add storage, pumping or backup generation only where the hydraulics demand it, then commission it in front of you. You are handed drawings, a winterization procedure and a yearly test schedule, and we service it like any other building system.

The dependency network

THE QUESTION IS NOT: WHAT DOES THE BUILDING COST?

WHAT DEPENDS ON IT?

A commercial structure sits at the centre of a dependency network: bookings, revenue, staff, inventory, operations, utilities, customer confidence and seasonal capacity.

One physical disruption can move through every pathway at once. That is the exposure a resilience strategy is actually protecting.

08 · ENGINEERED COVERAGEBusiness Resilience Guide
Arithmetic before hardware

COVERAGE IS ARITHMETIC. NOT OPTIMISM.

Every Prodigy layout begins with arithmetic, not hardware. Ridge-mounted heads throw 30 to 50 feet of water to create a humidity bubble over the roof planes. Eave-mounted heads wrap the walls and undersides below them. Spaced so every arc overlaps the next, the two rings work as one system, holding a single bubble of moisture over the whole structure.

The result is a roof that can be made wet, all of it, on command, without a single person standing on it.

IF THE ARCS DO NOT OVERLAP ON PAPER, THEY WILL NOT OVERLAP ON THE ROOF.

THE DECISION

EVERY UNPROTECTED SEASON IS ALSO A DECISION.

Somebody in the organization owns this risk. The only question is whether they own it before the ridge glows, or after.
