Hillside home defended by roof sprinklers as a wildfire crests the ridge behind
Prodigy Wildfire Solutions

A home near yours is now ready for fire season. Here’s how.

Prodigy has just completed a wildfire defense installation on a home near yours — a permanently installed, engineered sprinkler system that wraps the home in a protective humidity bubble, designed around the right water source for the property.

The night the hydrants ran dry.

The Palisades Fire ignited on the morning of January 7, 2025, and rode 80–100 mph Santa Ana winds into one of the most protected zip codes in America. Aircraft were grounded. Engine crews were spread across hundreds of simultaneous ignitions.

The same night, the Eaton Fire tore into Altadena. Between the two fires, more than 16,000 structures were gone — in neighborhoods with hydrants on every corner, minutes from major fire stations.

Preparation is no longer a rural conversation. It’s an American one.

The water failure · Palisades Highlands

The hydrants on your street were never built for a firestorm.

Fire hydrant on a suburban street in golden smoke haze
Palisades Highlands, January 2025 — a firestorm opens thousands of draws on the grid at once. It’s an engineering reality every Prodigy design accounts for.
As the Palisades Fire crowned into the Highlands, roughly 20% of upper-elevation hydrants lost pressure or ran dry. The 117-million-gallon Santa Ynez reservoir — the backstop for exactly this moment — sat empty for repairs. This wasn’t negligence. It was arithmetic. City water is built for a house fire: one home, a few engines, a few hours. A firestorm opens thousands of draws on the grid at once. That’s why every Prodigy system starts with its own engineered water-supply design.

Embers arrive first

The fire you see isn’t the one that takes your home.

Long before a flame front arrives — often while it’s still miles away — the wind delivers a blizzard of burning embers onto your property. They collect in gutters. Slip into vents. Settle against decks and dry mulch.

Investigators traced home after home that ignited hours after the front passed — or before it ever arrived. Defensible space and fire-resistant materials help, but they’re passive measures against an active threat. Nothing passive protects a property after the evacuation order comes.

Embers collect where you can’t see them — gutters, vents, dry debris against the house. Most homes ignite this way, not from the flame front.

04 · THE PRODIGY RESPONSEPRODIGY WILDFIRE SOLUTIONS
Active defense, engineered

When the fire comes, your home fights back.

The Prodigy Wildfire Defense System is a permanently installed exterior sprinkler network, engineered head-by-head to your property’s exact geometry. Activated from your phone, a sensor, or a manual valve, it wraps your home in a continuous humidity bubble within minutes — and defends it on four fronts at once.

FOUR FRONTS, SIMULTANEOUSLY
01
Ember interception
Water across rooflines, eaves, and vents extinguishes incoming embers on contact — before they ignite.
02
Surface cooling
Roof and wall surfaces are held below ignition temperature under sustained radiant heat.
03
Moisture elevation
Humidity rises across the entire structure, making it far harder for any spark to take hold.
04
Radiant heat reduction
Water absorbs radiant energy through the most dangerous minutes — as the front passes closest.

What we actually install

One system, engineered to your exact roofline.

A Prodigy system is not a kit. It’s designed head-by-head on a drawing of your property before a single bracket is mounted — overlapping coverage arcs proven on the plan, creating one continuous humidity bubble around the whole structure.

THE PRINCIPLE — the running system wraps the structure in a humidity bubble; embers die on contact.

THE HUMIDITY BUBBLE
ONE BUBBLE · EVERY SURFACE PROTECTED
A BUBBLE OF MOISTURE
Ridge heads throw 30 to 50 ft of water and the eave heads wrap below them, holding the whole structure inside one continuous humidity bubble.
EMBERS DIE ON CONTACT
Embers arriving on the wind meet saturated surfaces and moist air — and go out instead of igniting.
EVERY SURFACE, AT ONCE
Roof planes, walls, decks and undersides stay wet together. There is no dry corner for fire to find.
HELD FOR HOURS
Engineered cycles keep the bubble standing on stored water, hour after hour.

The right water source, engineered in

The right water source, for your property.

Every Prodigy system begins with a hydraulic calculation — head count, flow rate, duration — and the water source is chosen to match. For most homes, a city water connection serves the system well, and we engineer it in.

Where the exposure calls for more, we install dedicated supply: pools, wells, or on-site storage. Whatever the source, it’s sized to your roofline and proven on the drawing before anything is installed.

07 · THE PROPERTY ASSESSMENTPRODIGY WILDFIRE SOLUTIONS
A complimentary property assessment

Start with a clear picture of your property.

It starts with a complimentary 30-minute assessment. We walk your roofline, water access, and exposure zones, then give you a straightforward, engineered protection strategy — what your property needs, what it doesn’t, and exactly what it would involve.

Worth knowing: insurers across California are withdrawing from the wildland-urban interface, and a payout only rebuilds a house — not the home you spent decades making. The strongest position is never needing to file the claim.
